What's the catch?

There is absolutely no catch.  Any business with spending at least £15 on calls per line each month, can see annual call charges reduce by up to 40%. The bigger your business, the more lines you have and the higher your phone usage, the more you will save. There is a one year contract with “no quibble” cancellation within 60 days if you are not completely satisfied. All this is subject only to a site survey and broadband availability. We have been established in Oxfordshire since 1992 and have hundreds of local customers. Our good reputation matters, so when we say “no catch” we mean it.

 

How can we do it?

We make a small margin on each call and FREE equipment is subject to a minimum spend – this ensures that we are offering you a sustainable solution. Our free handsets provide all the rich features most businesses could wish for (e.g. Call Transfer, Call Forwarding, Call Hold, Music on Hold, Redial List, Voicemail). No other equipment is normally required. If you need even more advanced call-handling features we’ve a range of handsets including DECT Cordless, Executive and Conference Phones which, depending on your usage, we may also be able to offer for FREE or at large discounts. Advanced features include: Call-Queuing, Voicemail to Email, Hunt groups, Auto-Attendant, Outlook tool bar etc...

 

Can I keep my existing number(s)?

We can apply to port any existing telephone numbers to the LiveCall platform. You will be required to check & sign the porting application and supply us with a copy of the front page of your most recent telephone bill. Porting takes between 10 and 30 days depending on BT and the line type(s) involved. On the day that the numbers port, there maybe a small window (generally no more than 5 minutes) when calls cannot be made to the number.

There is a small admin charge for this service (£10 single analogue line, £20 multi-line).

 

How much disruption will the installation cause?

Handsets are pre-configured before being sent to you, so very little work is required at your premises (apart from plugging the equipment into the broadband connection). We will discuss your individual installation with you prior to the date.

 

What happens if you change the standard tariff?

Because of the many different countries/providers etc. minor amendments to this tariff occur frequently – you can obtain an up to date tariff from our website at any time.

 

What is the standard call tariff?

Our full LiveCall tariff is available to download. Calls to landlines throughout the UK & the USA are just 1p/minute at any time of the day & calls to many european destinations start at just 1.5p/minute.

 

What is the monthly service charge?

The monthly service charge will depend on exactly which LiveCall services you've subscribed to. However, LiveCall Lite starts from just £8 per month. Of course, economies of scale and your exact requirements will all have a bearing on this, so why not send us a copy of your recent telephone bill & we'll complete a full tariff comparison for you.

 

What if there is a fault?

We take every precaution to ensure that any disruption is kept to an absolute minimum – this is why we run a redundant data centre, so that in the event of a major fault in the main data centre, the system will automatically hand over control to the “spare”. Its far more likely of course that you may occasionally encounter an issue with your internet connection – in which case you should simply reboot your router and handset  (turn it off/back on again). Of course if this doesn’t clear the fault, then please contact us with details of the issue that you're experiencing. E-mail is the fastest way to report the issue and to have it resolved. However, where the fault prevents you from e-mailing, please call our offices for further assistance.

 

Who owns the equipment?

If you've received a free handset (subject to a minimum monthly spend), then the equipment remains the property of Live Connections Ltd during your initial minimum contract term. At the end of the minimum contract, ownership of the equipment is automatically transferred to yourselves.

If you've purchased the equipment outright, then it is yours as soon as our invoice has been paid.

 

Why do I have to have a 1 year contract?

A minimum contract term is required to cover the cost of setting up your LiveCall solution & associated equipment. However, we do offer a “no quibble” cancellation within the first 60 days if you are not completely satisfied.

 

Don't internet telephone systems have poor voice quality?

LiveCall uses the internet to route telephone calls and is therefore classed as a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system.  Some online VoIP systems have given the technology a bad reputation for low call quality and dropped calls. However, LiveCall is a business class solution from end to end. It is designed to provide the same capability as existing BT landlines.  LiveCall is complete with dual/redundant data centres to ensure high quality calls that do not get dropped. As long as you follow our recommendations, the call quality will always exceed that delivered via a mobile phone.
